changes!

I've decided to discontinue the mission ties service for now. I've been monitoring it for a while and it is pretty clear that I am paying for something we aren't using. Email appears to be the best form of communication, although he would really love some letters. Let's really try and get some photos to me for a photo album of sorts, and I'd really like to send him a photo calendar for 2010. Any volunteers out there for that project? :)
I feel like my summer just started! Home from camp--HUGE! It took me two weeks to prepare and pack, I guess I shouldn't be too disappointed if it takes me a while to get everything put away. I still haven't gotten my chest freezer back from the cooks. They had the right idea and disappeared for a few days instead of coming home.
Surprise! Elliot stopped by yesterday morning to check out the lodging here at the house. She and I agreed on a nice nook in the laundry room, where she had 7 kittens last night. It seems I'm the nanny again. We only kept one kitten last time. I named him Frank. No one else seemed interested in the job. I don't remember the last time I named an animal. If left to me this time, it will be the 7 dwarfs.
We enjoyed a short visit from Kathrine and the kids. Karali should be here sometime tomorrow. We will have a little BBQ for the June birthdays and Fathers Day this week since I was gone for most of the occasions. I wish all could be here! I promise to eat a piece of cake for Zan and for Chad!

I think that's wise. If he only gets letters once every 6 weeks, e-mail is a lot faster and easier. When I get home tonight I'll send you a couple of photos for the calendar. I think it's a great idea!
