Missing gene

I was hanging a print on the wall today (A thoughtful gift from a dear daughter) when it occurred to me how handy it would be to have a magnetic something to hold those darned finishing nails that I had gripped in my teeth....Someone should invent something. ;) During said event, I pondered on how much I truly love the print, and how I have been missing out by not having it hung sooner, so I could enjoy it on a daily basis. This brings up the point of the post--I have a missing gene. I discovered it some time ago, and shared this with my dad. Some people just have it. I don't. I called it the 'round-to-it' gene. My mom has it. Some of my own offspring have it. Somehow it missed me, and I cannot seem to ever find it. As I gazed happily at the print in its new setting I realized (again!) how nice it would be to at least borrow that gene for a day. There is a lot I'd like to get around to doing.

It must be recessive. :)

Two examples of this in my life right now:
1. Also a print I bought 3-4 years ago (paid for it to be shipped from England). Chad has helped me make progress in getting it framed and hung, but it's still several pieces away from being complete. But don't worry, I'll get around to doing it.
2. The hem in my curtain panel has been driving me crazy since the day we bought the house. I've been doing sewing projects for several months now, but still haven't gotten around to taking the five minutes to stitch the hem back in.

I definitely missed out on the gene. :)
