Chad did a fabulous job of making it a special birthday. He took me out to dinner and then made me a card on Monday since we had a crazy week. It was so fun to hear him in the craft room rolling about finding the necessary tools to make me a card. He even learned to emboss. He's a talented guy.
Then on Thursday he made me dinner and wrapped up several gifts (including shoes!).
And I'm loving the flowers Mom, Dad, and the boys sent. They keep getting more beautiful each day and the lilies are just blooming. And then there was the celebration with Chad's family (I married into a birthday-loving family).
Beyond birthday madness, I decided to paint Chad's office this weekend while he was off hunting, so when he got home it was mostly painted in a nice manly gray that looks striking against the white trim. Today I'm finishing the gray, and we're painting him a white board on the wall, so that will be way fun. I find that I'm becoming a paint junkie. It's lots of work, but I love how the color changes a room completely and that it's relatively inexpensive.
Anyway, that's the update from the Mabeys. We love you all, and are so looking forward to Thanksgiving and "Crafting with Holly" time. :)
Love,
Chad and Lisa
