So I have not posted in a while. I figured I should give some updates. My puppy is growing so fast its slightly ridiculous. She just got a clean bill of health from the vet, and now weighs 24 pounds at 15 weeks old. She is a VERY good puppy and everyone she ever meets (including her vet) is amazed at how well trained she is for her age. The vet nurse (is there a proper name for a vet nurse? do they have to have schooling, or whats the deal) suggested I put her in competition obedience at the rate she is going. I was flattered. ok, really i just laughed at the idea. Can't you just see me in a shapeless flower print dress, +75 pounds, trotting head held high next to my proud Pooch as I command her to "Sit" in front of a large, distinguished audience of canine "Who's Who"? I love it. I've found my true calling i think. But anyways, I'm on spring break, which is true cause for celebration. after 5 years of school without one, I think I have earned a full week of nothing but banana bread and LOST season 1. (totally captivating by the way.) and for those of you who like to watch entire seasons of your favorite shows, don't bother buying them, just go to surfthechannel.com and type in whatever show you want to watch, and then select TV. I swear they have everything. Who needs cable right?
I just today successfully killed my very first house plant ever. His name was Ferdinand, and he was a lovely yellow miniature rose. I put him out in the sunshine to sun himself and to get some well deserved nutrients, and the wind knocked him over. He would have survived his terrible plunge off the deck banister, if not for Maja. She was the first one on the scene, and proceded to make sure that there was nothing left of him. We had a small funeral for him, and then I fed his plastic holder to Maja who immediately went to work rendered the cup unusable. What a good dog. So dependable. BUT... just as Ferdinand met his almost inevitable fate, I found that my very first real outside flower had bloomed in my front yard!!! It also is a little yellow something, and I just knew that this meant I was truly a home owner now. (Maja can't get to the front yard plants as we have installed an underground fence. Its a genious invention)
I also just got called as the new ward Assistant Camp Director. Just as all those of you who have gone before, I am going to girls camp. I was nervous for this calling, until when I sat down in Sacrament meeting, the cute lady sitting behind me said, "you'll be fine. The last assistant camp director took all the girls Skinny Dipping at camp, and it Did Not End Well. You would have to work pretty hard to outdo that one." So the bar has been set rather high, and I will have my work cut out for me. ;)
So that is my world right now, and I'll do my best to keep y'all updated as our lives press on. Love you all!!

lol! Will you be wearing Hush Puppies with your flowered MuMu? I've heard they are very comfortable shoes. Kudos on the camp calling. I believe three of us will be at girls' camp this summer! Enjoy the rest of your break, but don't brag about the weather:)!
