- Zach buys Zan a single rose (only the second time in our illustrious relationship that Zach has ever bought me flowers),
- then the kids head to one of the many local courts for a wicked game of tennis (playing with rackets that are quite possibly as old as I am (thanks Mum!) and playing potentially one of the worst matches in history. I have only played tennis one other time in my life, but I find that since the epic Wimbeldon game between Federer and Nadal (which I watched in it's entirety) I have a new found respect for the sport and decided to give it a go. I enjoy it immensely, as does Sir Zachary, but our match lasted nearly as long as the Wimbeldon epic merely because we were so bad we spent most of our time chasing down errant balls),
- washing up and going to one of Rexburg's local diners which features menu items such as "the scrap-heap" and "the dirty Trevor" (the theme was construction...how quaint)
- and topping off the evening with snow cone happiness.
You might not have needed the blow-by-blow, but it was a lovely day and I can't believe it's been three years. Sometimes is seems longer and at the same time it feels like we're still new at this whole "playing house" game. I love my wee boyfriend dearly and look forward to year 4...it promises to be very exciting.
Forgive the sappiness.
